NEW GRADE 6-8 PARENTS
Organizing Your Day Matters! Strategic Scheduling is the best way to manage each day and each week ahead. This session is especially for parents and Learning Coaches with students in Grade Kindergarten through Grade 8 who are new to schooling at home. This is not a one-size-fits-all schedule workshop. We will share ways that you can look at your days and weeks that will help you best configure your family's life and school time. Routines, structured schedules, flexible schedules, household chores, as well as tried and true tips on how to take on schooling at home will be part of this special session for you.

Learning about the Online School
The Online School (OLS) is your child's portal to his/her daily plan and lessons. Here are two live sessions that can help you learn about how the online school works and how it can work for you. You can attend these in any order.
Using the Online School- The Tools- This session will teach you how to access your K-8 student’s lessons, log attendance, check her progress, and communicate with your student’s teacher via Kmail, the secure messaging system used by your school. As your child's Learning Coach, understanding these tools will save you time and make your job easier! This session will show you all the tools that you will need to make the K12 Online School work for you! This is one part of a two part session.
If you're unable to attend a live workshop or would like to view a recording of Using the Online School-The Tools session in your own time, click HERE.

High School Lifeline
Questions about the K12 Online High School? Ask them here.
Every new parent has questions that they wish they could ask an experienced K12 parent. Lifeline is your opportunity to do just that.
Do you have a question about working with your student, using the curriculum, setting up your school space, time management, using the Online School or High School platform, student motivation, or just getting through your day? Log in and talk to a real parent who is there just for you! You're not alone! If we don't have the answer, we can help you find out where to look!
This is not a workshop or presentation. This is drop in question/answer space staffed by an experienced K12 parent.
Here are a few of the comments about Lifeline from parents like you!
"Very beneficial for a new parent. Will definitely continue to join lifeline sessions and would highly recommend new parents to join."
"It was nice to hear other ideas, even if they did not pertain to my specific situation."
* We are unable to answer school-specific questions. Questions about attendance and grading policies, testing sites and schedules, local outings, etc., must be directed to your school. We also are unable to look up class schedules or shipping information. Those with these questions should connect to their school guidance counselors, Family Support Coordinators, OLS tools (such as MyInfo), or K12 Customer Support for answers
